Предмет. Влияние старения населения на рост производительности труда в префектурах Японии. Цели. Выявление характера влияния демографического старения на динамику производительности труда, а также проверка наличия условной конвергенции и пространственной взаимосвязанности между регионами. Методология. Теоретическую основу работы составляют расширенная модель Солоу и концепция условной конвергенции. Эмпирический анализ выполнен на панельных данных по 47 префектурам Японии за 2012–2021 гг. Для оценки старения используются доля населения в возрасте 65 лет и старше и коэффициент демографической нагрузки пожилыми. В качестве базовой спецификации применяется пространственная модель ошибки (SEM) с двусторонними фиксированными эффектами. Результаты. Установлено, что оба показателя старения статистически значимо и положительно связаны с ростом производительности труда. Также выявлены условная конвергенция регионов и значимая пространственная взаимосвязанность в динамике производительности. Выводы. Старение населения в современной Японии следует понимать не просто как демографическую проблему, а как важный фактор перестройки региональной экономики.
